About Us

Us is myself (Stephanie Eborall), my long-suffering husband, Maurice and my beloved cats.  Maurice has never forgotten the advert I put in a magazine that said 'the home where the cats come first'.

I met my first Russian Blue over 30 years ago - she was owned by a boyfriend and it was love at first site (with the cat that is).  Years later, after I moved to South Africa, I was in a position to have a cat and my first thought was it has to be a Russian.  A Russian he was, but blue he wasn't.  A beautiful white Russian, Ferdie, who was bought as a neutered pet.  Breeding wasn't in the equation.

I actually started showing with a Colourpoint Persian and it was only when I bought her a companion, fondly known as Bwonie, a seal point colourpoint persian who was so thick we knew she would never become a girl guide that I began breeding and the rest, as they say is history

Then the breeder of Ferdie retired and left me with her two female Russian Whites.  This led to me importing SpCh Unicorn Big Foot as a stud for them from New Zealand,  then SpCh Siblu Za Mimishka, and the love of my life SpCh Siblu Sergei Salikov and his companion SpCh Siblu Ruska Zelina from Australia.   Thank you Cheryl Steffe - I will always be in your debt.

In 2006, Ser and Zelina came to England to start 6 months quarantine and in June my husband and myself returned to England.   Ser, sadly died of kidney failure but a dear friend, Carol Wood, gave me his daughter Warwick Va Soraya and after 6 months quarantine Soraya joined us here who is now living life as a neutered pet.  Kindness came again from Joyce Lukehurst who when she stopped breeding let me have Ch Silloc Poppet.  Lubimiyeh Anya  then joined us and now Adniosh Catwo-Crystal is living with us to join the gaggle of Russians.

How anyone can say that indoor cats get fat!  They must come to our flat and witness the frequent mad dashes of the Russians.  Elegant and lean they remain keeping the energy and curiousity of kittens.

I was very lucky in that the GCCF allowed me to keep my Warwick prefix so I have now been breeding Warwick cats for nearly 20 years.
